Have you worked on getting your Buddy System set-up yet?
I hope you have all received your reminder cards about our 70th Birthday Bash at General Butler State Park on June 26th. There seems to be some confusion about what to bring to our Birthday party so here is what I know.
Larry Britton is making his special chili and Gerald and Nita are fixing the weiners for the hot dogs. Larry is also bringing cupcakes for us because a birthday cake for all of us wouldn't fit in his pickup truck. Lily Jane is bringing paper products.
Bring whatever you want to add to the hot dogs and cake (a covered dish with food in it, a dessert, chips and dips - or bring nothing at all. Just be sure to come and see that a fellow classmates attends as well. We just want to sit around in our lawn chairs, eat whatever's there, catch up with each other and (just maybe) talk out of school of some of our memories - who did you say she was jealous of, who did he sneak and date, she said what to him, they did what after the ballgame .
The picture on the reminder card is the shelter where we will be having the party. Some people are spending the night, some are returning to Lexington and some are going home.
We need these happy, happy times together before we - morbid thought - start attending each other's funerals - where we have to say something good about you - whether it is true or not!!! (My crazy sense of humor - but it's true!)
So, please plan to attend and if you have a classmate who doesn't get online, print this off and mail it to them cause everyone has time to make plans to attend.
