Fog from Pine Mountain
Do you remember them saying that there would be a snowfall that winter for each fog in August?
Is summer really over? Does it go by as quickly for you as I feel it did?For those of us who left Letcher County, Labor Day weekend was the last weekend we would go "down home" for the summer. The traffic was very frustrating driving back on Monday.
Sorry it has been so long since we posted. We have been on vacation in Northern Michigan. We saw many of our ole friends, ate some great meals and enjoyed that beautiful green scenery and cool weather.
Billy Joe has spent a lot of time this summer at his place on Lake Cumberland. Fishing is one of his great joys.
Larry Britton has been watching the rain in Louisville. He has been visiting with ole friends such as Marty Blair, Darrell Stidham, Kelly Boggs and Ken Collins for dinner.
Rex Polly is out of the hospital - it was not the H1N1 flu he had .
Rosemary Collier and Kelly Boggs have had surgery this summer. We hope they recover very quickly.
Anne Lewis was so happy to hear from all the classmates who called her for her birthday. She enjoyed talking to everyone.
