I served in the U.S. Army from October 1958 to February 1962. Sonny Enfusse and I (along with Jimmy Darrell Blair) joined the same day together on what they then called the buddy plan. That buddy plan only lasted eight weeks and then we were separated. Jimmy Darrell and I got out after 3 years and 4 months (the extra four months was because of a military situation in Germany) and it took Sonny twenty five years to make it out.
