Do you remember looking up at Pine Mountain from School House Hill and seeing ice on the trees up there? Letcher County didn't get the ice last week that the rest of Kentucky was hit with. We hope everyone survived without too much damage to yourself, your house or your vehicles. Sarah Jane says she has been running a motel for her family members who lost power. Larry B. had to move to his sister's house to wait for the power to come back on at his house. Northern Kentucky had some power outages but not as many as central and western Kentucky.
Lily Jane has sent out some directions of how to get on the blog page. If you know of another classmates who hasn't seen the page yet, maybe you could mail those directions on to them if you don't need them now.
Kelly Boggs is starting rehab this week and is doing better.
Frank Perry is still doing well and feeling fine he reports.
Charles Reynolds still needs our thoughts and prayers.
If you know of any other classmates who needs our thoughts and prayers, let us know.
How many poems did we have to memorize in Miss Raleigh's English class? Larry remembers "Crossing the Bar". Lily refreshed his memory of that poem - I'm sure he will be able to recite it at our get-together in May at General Butler State Park. Sarah Jane says her husband will be playing golf with us. By the way, those of you who had Mrs. Combs' English class didn't have to memorize so much. Or maybe those of us who endured Miss Raleigh just remember it that way.
In looking toward spring and summer, we were thinking about Memorial Day. We need to honor our classmates who are veterans. If you were or know someone who was a veteran, let us know so we can add your name to our list.
